With a chocolate cake in hand, Ryan Sheckler heads off to celebrate his father Randy's 44th birthday. Ryan uses the time to share his concerns about Casey and Taylor's breakup. He admits he's frustrated because Casey isn't talking to him much and he's afraid Casey will freak out if he hangs out with Taylor. He doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but he doesn't want to lose either of his best friends. After some fatherly advice, Randy warns Ryan about potentially getting too close to Taylor.

After working so hard, Ryan finally sees the fruits of his labor -- his clothing line is in stores! His mom, Gretchen, shows Ryan the merchandise he designed. After inspecting the T-shirts and jeans, Ryan admits he is ecstatic to see this dream become a reality.

Later, Ryan hooks up with Mitch and Tony for a little batting practice. They all agree that they shouldn't allow the demise of Casey and Taylor's relationship to tear apart their circle of friends. Relationships are never easy, but dealing with the aftermath of a breakup can be even harder. Ryan decides to focus on keeping his individual friendships intact.

Even though Casey and Taylor are over, Ryan invites Taylor to check out a house with him. Taylor is one of Ryan's oldest and closest friends and he really trusts her opinion when it comes to picking out a new pad. As the realtor shows them around, Taylor gives her stamp of approval and Ryan decides to make an offer.

When Ryan's agent, Steve, drops by Ryan's house later, the pro skater complains that the PacSun store at the mall didn't have his clothes on the rack. Ryan is concerned about how well his stuff is selling, but Steve assures him that everything is on track. Steve has even set up an in-store promotion with Tilly's to officially launch the clothing line.

Just when things are looking up, Taylor comes to Ryan with some upsetting news -- Casey and Mitch went through Ryan's phone and found a text message from her. She got an angry call from Casey questioning her about going house hunting with Ryan. This sets Ryan off; he's mad that Casey went through his phone behind his back and then yelled at Taylor.

Ryan calls Casey to confront him and their conversation quickly becomes heated. When Mitch gets on the phone, Ryan gets so angry that he decides to track his friends down and face-off in person. When he finds them, he practically yanks Casey out of Mitch's car. When Casey goes to give him a hug, Ryan shoves him away.

An argument ensues, and Mitch and Casey deny any wrongdoing. In fact, Casey claims everything's cool. But Ryan is fuming over the fact that Casey clearly went behind his back -- and then didn't even have anything to say to him. Upset, Casey walks off, leaving Ryan and Mitch to verbally duke it out.

After cooling down, Ryan gets some insight from his mother about what just happened. He's still stunned by the whole situation and wonders how he and Casey are going to be roommates if they can't communicate. Gretchen thinks Ryan should try talking to Casey again about everything that went down.

After giving it some thought, Ryan heads to Casey's house to talk. Cooler heads prevail and they both apologize to each other, but Ryan insists that they need to learn to communicate better. Casey assures Ryan that dwelling on Taylor is a thing of the past, and Ryan emphatically promises that he would never, ever hook up with her. As Casey tears up, Ryan tackles his friend with a hug. Looks like all is forgiven!

On the day of the Tilly's launch, Ryan is greeted by thousands of fans -- mostly screaming girls. He signs garment after garment, but the crushing crowd proves to be too much and the cops shut the event down. As the mayhem ensues, an uncomfortable-looking Casey and Taylor ignore each other. Now that they're broken up, Ryan realizes that it may not be possible for all of them to remain friends.
